Fall Quarter Uncertain?

We got you.

Transitioning to college can be daunting. It’s hard to get to campus and find the relationships that will guide you through college. We want to help- by offering mentorship.

We’re a bunch of upperclassmen and recent alumni who relied on our mentors to get through college - and now we want to provide that experience for future huskies.

😯What?

Husky Connect is a mentorship program where incoming students are paired with upperclassmen and UW recent alumni for Q+A’s and mentorship meetings, and Husky Connect-wide events.

✏️How?

Get a taste of what Husky Connect mentorship is like through signing up for a casual coffee chat on zoom below! You'll be matched with a friendly UW senior or college alumni who you can ask your questions to.

⏱️When?

Up to you! Set a time that works between you and your mentor - and tune in to the big events if you can make them.

Testimonials

Smiling young man with glasses outdoors in a garden.

“Husky Connect made a huge difference in my transition to college. Being matched with a senior gave me someone I could turn to for real advice—whether it was tips on making friends, handling roommate conflicts, or just finding the best places to eat in Seattle. It was reassuring to know I had someone I could go to from day one. Five years later, I’m still in touch with my mentor!”

- Daniel Lee (mentee during the summer of 2020, current senior at UW & Husky Connect mentor)

"Husky Connect really helped me start my time at UW on the right foot! As an out-of-state student completely unacquainted with UW’s campus, Seattle, and college in general, Husky Connect made my transition smoother. Not only did my Husky Connect mentors help me navigate the physical space of campus and the surrounding area (what’s the best coffee shop on the Ave? Where are the best study spots on campus?) but they helped me navigate my emotional and mental transition as well. I made friends with upperclassmen who gave me all their insight but also became valuable friends. I highly recommend!"
